INDICATIONS The onset of cold is generally indicated by a tickling sensation in the throat which is due to the irritation of the mucous membrane caused by pathogenic organisms that have found access and favorable conditions for growth. The infection, if not checked initially, may spread further, producing symptoms usually associated with cold.
